Based on what I've heard, the shooting was justified. However, what has been happening in places like Milwaukee is that a shooting that may be justified sparks off years of built-up resentment of the community to abusive practices by the police. That's pretty much what happened in Ferguson after years of police milking the community for multiple fines and charges in order to fund the government. And in Baltimore, while the cause of Freddy Gray's death may be unclear, it's clear that the police have also been abusing that community for years. The DOJ reports on police practices in both communities identified many questionable practices used by the local police departments.

Yes, people should not riot. It hurts them and their community more than it hurts the police department. But the police also need to be held responsible for years of abuse that are only now coming to light.

But to attack whites? Baltimore has a sizable group or blacks in their force. Multiple officers in Gray's case were black. This officer in Wisconisn was black. My question is - and it's an honest question - why the anger over cops but not each other. The stats show black males are killed by other black males 95% of the time. It would take cops 40 years of killing just black males to equal the amount of times black males killed each other in 2012 alone

Well, I actually owe everyone, black, white and otherwise, the courtesy of not killing them.

4,472 black males were killed between 2009-2012 annually, by contrast both justified and unjustified shootings in black men by police offers was 112.

Because the same way whites are more likely to kill other whites, blacks are more likely to kill other blacks. Intra-racial crime is rampant among all races. And random strangers of the same race do not take an oath nor are they paid to protect and serve. The outrage over police killings is because they owe a duty to citizens. Stranger/murderer on the street owes no such duty to anyone. It's not that complicated and I refuse to think you're really that slow.

For Petes sake, it's been two days. Please show another example of body cam footage being released in under a week.

If they want to show this murder was justified than can release it. If they don't . . . I guess the city will burn.
