$3K after insurance

Currently our 7th grader has $5,000 braces, nothing unusual, routine. My older one was about $12,000 from age 10 to 17. there was always something going on in her mouth.

We ended up paying about $3,000 for Invisalign.

Total 9k, about 6-7K after insurance. It was the same pay for both invisalign and metal, but this was the rare case where metal takes longer due to a bad overbite and metal needing a separate appliance for a year before a year and a half barrage of braces compared to a year and a half of invisalign.

total cost was 5K or so and we are paying half with insurance. Palate expander and braces for some crowding in a small mouth. Lots of little steps at each visit to get specific teeth into place, incorporate new teeth as they crop up. Seems good so far.

$1900, with insurance. Another place quoted us $3200 with insurance..the insurance paid the same at both places but one accepted the insurance negotiated rate and one didn't. We went to a play with excellent reviews but no flash that serves a large low income population


Service has been impeccable. I was turned off by a few places that seemed to treat braces like selling cars. I dont need any of that.

Invisalign was $5000, insurance took care of $2000. Covers all retainers including 3 replacements. We could also switch to regular braces in the first year for no additional cost in case DS didn't manage will with Invisalign

Especially if you chose Invisilign! Takes $0.50 to make on a 3d printer, no appts necessary, you send in the photos of what set you did, takes twice as long as braces and costs the same. Very high margin.

That’s a normal copay cap.

Phase 1 was $4k, 50/50 insurance and us.

Phase 2 was $6k, insurance paid $2.5k, we paid the rest.

We changed dental insurance plans between to two phases so we’re not affected by the “one coverage per lifetime”.

We paid just under 8,000 for 18 months of braces.

That included 3 sets of retainers once braces were removed and 4 followups after the braces - I think at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year. After that, you pay per appointment which they recommend annually.

With insurance, we paid out of pocket $5,100 for Invisalign.

if you change dental plans every year, you can use the new "lifetime 1000" benefit toward the balance of the braces. That's how most of my kids braces cost was paid.

Per person.

Certain plans have no waiting period. That's what we had to do -- my son had to do 2 phases and after exhausting one lifetime benefit we had to switch and use the second. Overall I think we paid somewhere around $5k.
