Me too! At a stop light no less. So weird.

My car was in great condition but purchased used with almost 70K miles. Shortly after buying it got a big dent in the back ( not by me) . Been driving it dented ever since...6 years later. It was supposed to be a temporary car but life happened and now we are waiting a while to replace it. Oh well.

I drive A 20 year old vehicle. The first time I dinged it, I was so very sad, but I didn't fix it. The second time I dinged it, I was very sad, but didn't fix it. The third time, I was sad but didn't fix it. The fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh times, I was so glad I didn't fix the previous dings because otherwise I would be so very sad about the latest dings.

If I had ever done a serious crunch, that would be a whole different story, and I would probably fix that.

Minivan has been rearended twice. Both times the other drivers insurance paid and I just pocketed the money. I think one was $350 and other was $800. We are driving it until it collapses so don't see the point of fixing cosmetic problems. It's worth about $2000 now.

Ha, I totally agree with this. LOL.

I just dented the plastic bumper on our SUV. It's 10 years old and has been paid off for 8 years. Definitely not paying to fix it as we intend to run it into the ground. Our other car has a big scrape down the front bumper (thanks FIL!) that I'm also not fixing because the car is 13 years old.

I dented the back of my car just after I got it. 6 years later I still haven't gotten it fixed. I just can't see paying $500-$1000 to fix a purely cosmetic issue.

If the paint is scratched, you may want to fix that because rust could build up, and that's not good for the car. But, I have driven my car with a dent in it for a while, too.

My suv is 11 years old. It has dents and scratches but still looks okay. I'm not repairing anything. I'm working on getting the bumping sticker "hunk for falling parts" . My focus right now is only fixing the parts that fall off. To the pp that gets those random requests from strangers to fix their car, I've been there. My usual response if it's free you can fix it.

I drive with the dent in the car. 2002 vehicle, paid off in 2005, still driving well in 2016. As long as the vehicle is still operating I would not pay for "beauty" on an old car.
