Thing is that Trump has a point when he says we are getting the worst of the worst and I say this as a hispanic. I asked a relative from Chile why people from our city never come to the US but only the poorest of the poor country folk who have no education and disregard for the law in their country and when they come to the US illegally and they just said that since they don't live in the capital or the 'rich areas' of their home countries then the process to obtain a visa is quicker without an interview even that is required from the educated wealtheir people who live closer to the capital.

states are not violating federal law by not deporting illegals because states don't have the right to deport illegals. That is the feds' job. If they want them, they will come get them.

Apology accepted. For the record, I have no children in Fairfax schools, so my concern has nothing to do with my (non-existent) little snowflake.

Now then, you say that the CA shooter of Kate Steinle had no criminal record, but that is false. He had been convicted of seven (7) felonies and had even deported five times, yet kept returning. He expressly said (link to article below) that he returned to San Francisco because he knew authorities would not turn him over - and that was true. SF authorities ignored the detainer and request to return this criminal to custody. As a result, this young woman with a promising future is dead and her family is left to live with the loss for the rest of their lives.

Also for the record, I am not one of these conservative "crazies" who think we should round up millions of illegal immigrants, separate parent from child, and deport them. But if they come into our country (illegally) and we are to educate their children and provide medical care, I do not think it too much to ask that they obey our laws, just as I do. A minor traffic citation, OK....even a little pot, as you mentioned, OK....but anything more than that, they have lost their right (technically they don't have one) to remain here. Doesn't even have to be violent. As someone who entered this country illegally, if you come into my place of business and shoplift some items, I say no leniency. Perhaps you should review some history. Lots of immigrants came to this country without knowing any English. Many didn't need to learn English because they settled among others that spoke their language. Their kids learned English and often translated for the parents. None of this is new. None of this should be shocking. If it is, please go to the library and start reading.

Also, other groups do this too. I've often had to translate through kids whose parents were... Asian.

This is the same thing I have observed. If the jobs weren't here or us citizens were willing to live servers families to a house, Hispanics would not be here doing the jobs.

We are some of the only people on our block who do our own yard work and don't hire Hispanics. I also make sure, as much as I possibly can, that people we hire to do work around the house are us citizens. I also pay more to hire native Virginians, Marylanders, etc.. We own an older house, drive older cars, but try to use our money in ways that help fellow US citizens. (and, not a Trump supporter, he also hires the cheapest labor he can.)

The FARMS rate in APS last year was 30.1% while the rate in FCPS was 27.5% according to the Virginia DOE.

Many of the Hispanics in some FCPS schools are middle and upper-class kids, including the children of World Bank and embassy employees.
