I love you. Want to be friends?

I got a "gownie" to wear during labor and for afterwards she got me a monogrammed robe and slippers. There's also a pillow case that coordinates with the gownie for pictures. I was pretty shocked and figured hospital staff thought this stuff was stupid, but she says the cute gowns are common and really popular. I think she'd dreamed of seeing me in the labor and delivery unit for quite some time.

Not on this board. Where is that thread, that one was memorable.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I'm bringing my favorite soft Target Pjs and plan on hanging out in those all day. Leaving the hospital wearing a comfortable T shirt maternity dress I love.
These are the pajamas and somehow they still fit me at 38 weeks just fine. I think they'll be easy for breastfeeding too. http://www.target.com/p/women-s-fluid-knit-top-and-short-pajama-set-gilligan-o-malley/-/A-15026135
I think you've recommended these before (or someone else did) and recommended them for nursing. I love them so much I bought two more pairs (because inevitably I end up covered in breast milk or spit up). Thank you for the recommendation! I wish they had a pants version for when it gets cold!
To answer the question -- I had a c-section and just wore the hospital gown and nursing bra. I had a bathrobe for when we had visitors or I wanted to get up and walk around.

Anonymous wrote:I wore the gown way longer than I planned. I ended up needing a c-section, and was so miserable the next day, changing clothes was the least of my worries. I brought some loose nightgown type of things, and yoga pants, but I'm not sure if I changed into them during my entire stay, and I don't even remember what I wore home.
