And actually I have three children. I just didn't have to whore around with multiple daddies to get them. And if anything happens to me, mine will be provided for. I won't have to make a desperate plea to a poor friend from my deathbed.

Since you perceive yourself as being so compassionate, I would say that I hope you have adopted at least 5 needy children. But since I see that you don't have many brain cells to rub together, I hope that you never have/had/interact with children.

Mom is dead. Dads are gone. Any adult whose judgment was questionable in this situation is out of the picture. What exactly did the children do that makes you think it necessary to withhold your compassion?

Two fathers. She had kids with two different men. One took off after she got sick. Real stand up guy. I am sure no one here has ever had kids with both a first and second husband or had their husband basically abandon the first family when he started his new one. Yup

Can people really be the moralistically cold and cruel as some of these posters.

But if the couple adopted the children, I would assume they would be giving up any claim to child support. Once you adopt a kid, you don't get to ask the biological parents for money.

Neither would I. I have 4 already and I feel like it wouldn't be fair to my kids. The most I'd consider adopting is 1. If I had 6 kids and I was dying I can't imagine asking a friend to take on that burden, because it would seem really unfair. I'm sure there was a rush of emotion, but once the dust settles that is an insane amount of responsibility!
