Damn annoying. Where is Kathy Kay? I am a Brit living in Canada and most of my Brit. Canadian friends feel the same about her dreadful voice.

I am relieved to see it's not just me. I literally have to turn the program off because her voice is so irritating. Being an American, I'm not aware of an accent but I am aware of the effect her voice has on me.

She is so hard to listen to. She gnashes her way with hyper nasality and erratic tonality through the half hour program. I've got to believe that she can speak normally, but feels that she needs that abhorrent announcer voice. I like the BBC a lot but she will drive me away from being a regular viewer.

It would be much appreciated if BBC could find an anchor person that has smoother, less nasal and irritating accent than Laura T. Maybe she could get some good voice coaching. Very unpleasant.

Ugh... Laura is on again. I must mute the sound. I too feel her journalism skills would be better suited elsewhere.

She should be sent back to south west England. With a very large gag in her mouth

Laura Trevelyan speaks with a painfully sharp, almost piercing cackle. If she has ever listened to herself, why would she impose herself in the media on any ears, American or British?

Question---why can't BBC World News America provide an announcer that can be understood by Americans? When Laura Trevelyan is the anchor, it's a temptation to change channels. Her vocal work is notably bad when, with relief, a guest is invited in who speaks clearly with a pleasant tone. I question BBC management putting forth such a key announcing person into the American market. Rx---Allow Ms. Trevelyan time off to prepare text for others to announce or to produce more books.

Thank God I'm not alone in my horror at Laura Trevelyan's voice. I don't mind the accent so much, but her voice is completely wrong for a newscaster. She makes my hair stand on end. The nasality is particularly loathsome. I've lived and worked in the UK and have never heard anything like this woman's unfortunate speech patterns. Please get her some proper vocal training. Thank you.

I agree. Her voice is distracting at best, annoying, at worst. They ate others who can present the news.

I am Mr A. Goren and I hate listening to Laura Trevelyan because of her English English pronunciation. What can I do? Laura is grabbing the BBC World NEWS on the public channel to which I used to listen. I bet that Laura has donated the cost to channel because she is rich. She loves herself a lot and would give up easily.
