A couple of beers really don't impair you that much, certainly no more than a bad night's sleep. (And my wife would never say, "no, you slept poorly, don't take the kids and leave me all alone in a quiet house.")
I think the "A game" is really only necessary if they're swimming Class 6 rapids or with sharks or something.

Anonymous wrote:Drinking at the pool is totally accepted at our local pool. Folks are expected to be discreet (pour the beer into a red Solo cup), but absolutely run of the mill. Not everyone does it, but enough that there is a "crowd".
