It's not that you can't have an opinion, it's that the name of the website is "DC urban mom". So if you aren't either DC, urban, or a mom there are posters like me who don't get how you surfed the web to get here and why you bothered to post.

When I have spent time as a user on sports websites, wedding planning websites, or professional websites in the past and have also found unaffiliated people I just think it's weird. But whatever.

I don't understand the issue for someone who is this young and encumbered. So what, u quit your job, move along. We have no insight on your life with so little info.

Op back here. Didn't write that.but to answer, I quit my job because I was miserable. Woke up so unhappy and hated every minute of the job. Not learning anything valuable. Horrible management that treated me very poorly. I have worked for other places and other bosses who weren't great but not like this

OP, I did something similar at 22. I bought a one way ticket and traveled for a few months (until I could no longer afford to work odd jobs overseas). It was the best decision I ever made. If you remotely have the desire for backpacking travel, this is a great time to do it. You can bartend, babysit, wait tables, etc overseas while you enjoy your life and figure out what's next. This. I have an artist friend who did this on a whim in China. Married a local, came back here. She works a lucrative job and he is able to focus on his art. They seem really happy and he said it was a wonderful experience.

Volunteer for a few weeks to help abused elephants in Thailand.

Buy a round the world ticket.

You are 25, you have time to sit back and look at what went wrong in your relationship so you will be in better state of mind for the next one.

I think someone asked if you got a college degree.

I also hope your friends are standing by you through all of this.

I am 33 with a husband and a kid. If I quit my job and was going to get a divorce, I'd track down my dream job and take it. At this point, it doesn't matter how it shakes down. If he wants a divorce, I will just go be happy with DD and we will figure it all out.

Point is, go be happy, forget jobs and assholes. Don't have kids. Just go live your life and don't lock yourself down. Great if you build a family, but you're stuck. And then you're stuck with the daily choices. I got a pizza the other day for dinner alone with DD, which is something we never do, because DH has grain allergies. Everything is a god damn negotiation. Sometimes I realize how much I just already gave up on a bunch of life choices. Meaning I don't have a choice. This is just marriage.
