I have a friend who used these, but she said that after the newborn stage when you're blowing through packs quickly, the bottom of the pack would often get moldy because there's no preservatives in them. I get that no preservatives is technically a good thing because less chemicals on your baby's skin, but I would be concerned about the mold. Did you ever have this problem?

Really? I've never noticed a smell to them, and I've used them with 2 kids.

I tried using them with DD1 3 years ago and they had a really obnoxious faux baby powder smell to them. It went away if we opened the package and aired out the diapers for a few days, but yeah, it was REALLY strong and I just gave up and moved to Up & Up.

Us too. We even found a daycare that is willing to use them.

But as far as disposables go, I wouldn't buy a ton of one kind right away. Get a few small packs of different brands and see what fits. The Target newborn diapers didn't work for us- DS had really skinny legs and the leg holes were just too big. Pampers were great at first due to the color change feature but I couldn't handle the perfume smell after a while, plus it seemed to irritate my baby's bum. When we do use disposable now, I like Honest and Earths Best.

Target diapers all the way. Both my kids have had very sensitive bottoms and the only wipes we can use are pampers sensitive.

Costco for both diapers and wipes was convenient snd sufficient for us (2 kids).
