Another poster who also likes Saucony. And New Balance seem to hold up decent for us.

We found a pair of GeoX at Nordstrom a few years ago that was AMAZING. I don't see them many places though. I think they were made in Italy. A little more expensive, but not terrible.

Did Tsukihoshi start making them wider? Couldn't even get toddler size 6 over his toes. My 9-year old put holes in Tsuki faster than any other shoe. He puts wholes in every shoe within 3-6 months. Runs a lot and kicks the ball (misses and kicks the ground rather).
I love Pedipeds. Have yet to try Plae since Stride Rite has been great for our toddler and stocked up few sizes when they were on sale.

Pediped online. Kinderbliss is the Pediped outlet online if you want cheaper and don't mind less selection.

Except that a regular Tsukihoshi or Keen is wider than a wide Stride Rite.

Same with See Kai Run.

Honestly I get a lot of my DS shoes from Target and they hold up pretty well. I get most of his sneakers from amazon since they often have sales on the "brand" sneakers depending on size and colors left, and most summer shoes from target.

See Kai Run are amazing. My kids have very wide feet and that is all I buy anymore.

22:01 again. Both my kids have wide feet and one wears orthotics. We buy New Balance, Saucony, Keens (they have a new style that comes wide). I find it easier to just go get them fit at shoe train and not bother with the Internet. Fwiw, my kids are 9 and 11, and they have always worn wide shoes. As toddlers they outgrew shoes every 3-4 months.

Just goes to show you all shoes are a crap shoot. I don't think any brand is the holy grail.

I totally disagree with this. I have boys who are very hard on shoes. The Sauconys, the trail runner model, they currently wear have been terrific, much better than SR and Nike that they've had in the past. I plan on getting them another pair (bought the current ones from Amazon) for summer.

Go to Shoe Train- Buy Saucony. They last better than others (like the Baby ride style). Some kids are just hard on their shoes. Also, new sneakers every 3-4 months for a toddler.
