Termites cause structural damage. Dandelions cause butthurt among a particular subset of puckered-starfish prima donnas. Let it go.

If you grow them, you can also use the leaves for tea. It helps you if you are anemic.

The highest concentration of dandelions I've seen is in the grassy strip next to my DD's preschool. So just have a bunch of preschoolers over to help propagate them.

I want to grow them in a pot as well to harvest for dandelion tea.

I've been on both coasts and notice that there are different types of dandelions....it may be the soil conditions but I think there also might be varieites...so I'd go find a big, beautiful, juicy one, then wait for it to go to seed. That is a fun project in and of itself, the going to the field or spot and examining the progress of the plant...

Our neighbors ripped out all their grass and had their entire yard re-sodded because they had so many dandelions, but now they have even MORE dandelions than before. (I did laugh a secret little evil laugh at it.)

Huh? The home prices in those places are well over half a million dollars! How does that not equal lots of mature adults, many with good educations and real jobs? Just like all the other far out neighborhoods that cost the same, but with houses 3x as big and no dandelions in the yards. I'll take my child neighborhood with weeds!

Probably means violets. My lavenders are couch potatoes.

This is what I love about fun neighborhoods like Takoma Park and Del Ray and Brookland. People are established, educated, and professional in large numbers and yet no one gives a flying fuck about dandelions or having a perfectly manicured lawn with diamond shapes in it!

I let the lavender and clover take over my yard because I couldn't keep up with it and it's pretty. But I pull the dandelions out by the roots because they are ugly and they will totally take over if you let them. The critters have enough other things to eat in my yard, including my tomatoes.

The lawns that have them are the first to get called in for the county grass height laws
