A "nails on a chalkboard" word for me is "thriving". Every time someone types on here that their child is "thriving" at this place or that, I want to throw something at the monitor. Ugh.

I don't know if this was always so common on DCUM, especially as an intro word to a post, but I recently started to notice it and I really hate it.

I also hate when adults use "awesome" in conversation. My boss proclaims that things/ideas are "awesome" at least 5 or 6 times a day and it sounds ridiculous.
