Everyone draws the line at different points.

Many of us here would have had the line drawn with us on the no-child side.

India clearly needs better regulations I place for IVF. This really all I take from this story! One can use donor eggs to get pregnant at any age since women's bodies seem capable of carrying and delivering for life. It's just the eggs they need to borrow.

Having a baby in your 70s is far beyond the realm of what science should provide.

This is nowhere near the same as a woman of childbearing years (before menopause) using science to conceive, or an old man naturally conceiving a child .

I struggle with this because this is the type of story that comes out about IF and IVF. Rather than admit that men are infertile too or that a 26 year old can have diminished ovarian reserve, we have these fantastic stories from the media. When I started my IF journey I had to explain to my mother that I would not end up like Kate plus Eight or Octomom. If a 70 year old woman wants a baby, she can go for it, but this is not representative of people who have IVF or the reasons why we have IVF.

Some of us thing just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. I guess Ms. or Mr. "obvious" considers that hypocritical, and thinks that because we all use ART, we should support the use of ART in all cases.
