I agree, you don't need to call the police (yet), but I would let the parents know. They should know what goes on, it is their house. Maybe they are o.k. with it, but most are not. I would want to know if my son was smoking pot on my front porch.

I'd definitely want to know that my kid was dumb enough to do something illegal right in plain view of the world. I'd be thankful that you told me so that I can tell my son to cut it out. Don't call the cops.
