Primary Day uses it. I was not a fan but Everyday Math is terrible and that's what my daughter's school uses.

Singapore is a curriculum; common core is a set of standards. So Singapore math actually has a curriculum to teach the common core standards.

Grace Episcopal Day School just switched to Singapore for this fall. Started doing one of the workbooks with DC a few weeks ago and am impressed by the focus on depth of content knowledge, critical thinking and deductive logic.

... Through grade six? It's a very canned curriculum. I hope they are mixing in other materials and experiences. Same with Saxon!

What is the afterschool program in Montgomery County that your daughter is doing Singapore Math in? And what grade is she in?

Just wondering if you can share some info about the benefits of Singapore style math? I lived in SG for a few years and worked with kids, and while they were very proficient in math, there was concern about added stress with their curriculum.

Congressional uses Singapore math through 6th grade. The kids transition seamlessly out of it and into a more traditional algebra curriculum.
