I have read that teachers love personal letters and cards from their students. The $25 OG card is very generous but my family and I never go there to eat. According to my aunt who is a teacher, teachers have to buy a lot of their own supplies and also love coffee. So if it's a gift card I'd go with Michael's/Amazon/Barnes&Noble or Starbucks.

it's a gift. you get to choose the gift. if she isn't appreciative, she can regift it.

I prefer to give the teachers Visa, MasterCard gift cards. This way, they can use it anywhere, it's not limited to 1 or 2 places.

when I get a Visa gift card, which I think is kind of stupid, I immediately convert it to an Amazon "gift card" balance, from which my purchases automatically deduct until it runs out.

VISA gift cards are the absolute WORST! They loose value if you don't use the full amount at once, You always have to get assistance to use them and it's hard to determine what the balance is. And you can't use them on line. DO NOT GIVE VISA Gift cards! And they are often hard to activate.

Funny, a few years ago some parent of a kid in DDs ES school class took the initiative to collect a few $$ in order to purchase one collective gift on behalf of entire class, guess they got approx $25-ish from each which resulted in a new iPad for the teacher...

We did $25 gift cards to Amazon for teacher and teacher's aide.

Olive Garden is ok. There is not one close by in MC. It will not cover the cost of two meals, except maybe at lunch. The food is hit or miss. I am going to assume OP has a gift card and is regifting it vs. buying something specific for the teacher.

Amazon prime raised their free shipping rates. Not everyone has prime so $25 is going to cost shipping.

Honestly, the best gift is to get one of two things you know each teacher will use on themselves.

1. A gift card to their salon (try and convince owner to discount a haircut for the teacher)

2. A book of car washes from Flagship

We have an Olive Garden close by. My inlaws love it. It's not terrible! But I like standard, cheap Italian food.

I will say though, most teachers I know spend a good amount of their own money on their classrooms. Target giftcards are always appreciated to help defray this cost.

Just do Chipotle or Panera.
2 people can eat for $25 there.
