You are the only one who doesn't know what you're talking about. Just because you didn't hear about it doesn't mean it didn't happen. The smithsonian was widely reported. There was one in the news yesterday in Arlington too.
Yes, I understand all of this nonsense is being reported on list serves and the Smithsonian story was on the news. Ever wonder why none of these stories are actual kidnappings? It's always "someone tried to lure me into a car." We keep hearing the same story over and over again. If this were happening this often, don't you think at least one time, the kidnapper would have forcibly taken a kid? Keep believing this nonsense.

There's video of the Smithsonian. You are either 1. Not a parent 2. Extremely naive or 3. A child predator
There's a video of a man walking thru the door. The video does not show the man attempting to take the kid. I will acknowledge that the Smithsonian incident may have been a real attempt, but it doesn't make the dozens of repeated list serve stories any more true.
How does questioning your intelligence make me a child predator?

According to the police, there was no credible information that the report in Chevy Chase was about an attempted abduction.

Unless they mean that the story was fabricated by the boys or their mother, there should definitely be taking it seriously. Nobody in their right mind offers children a ride anywhere these days.
Also, there have been such a number of reported abductions in the area that they can't ALL be imaginary.
This is such a sad state of affairs. I offered our neighbor's kids a ride home from school as I was picking up my kids, and we pass right by their house on the way home. Kids are older ES/MS age. They know us. But yea, now, I guess I won't ever do this again. But, it really is so sad that this is what it comes down to.

No! Several were posted on school and neighborhood listservs.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:All of these sick people...the problem is caused by porn. They get into "innocent/normal" porn, get addicted. And then they need more and more and creeper things to get off to.
Child pornography is proliferating because of addiction. Keep your kids away from any, so they don't go down this path. I know someone affected by this right now. Claims it was downloaded by an accident as part of a huge download. I could believe it though. Well now the fbi is involved, and this person is so despressed their life is on hold.

Just so I have this straight, regular porn is causing people to move onto child porn and this increase in demand is causing an increase in the attempted abduction of kids in the DC metro area, right?
