+1000. Very shy PS3 who has absolutely blossomed and loves school. Looks forward to seeing his friends and teachers every day.

ITS family for 5 years. Never heard of anything like this. Physically attacked? The school code of conduct is crystal clear on the behavior management system and this sounds like it would be an immediate suspension.


Thank you for this. He claims that his son described constant bullying and the school did nothing.

Another ITS Parent. I've never heard of any discipline issues in my child's class during past 3 years. The teachers are very good at dealing with everyday kid problems from what I can tell. I also haven't heard of any children who was "attacked." That must be rare or I'm just out of the loop.


Thanks for your responses. Coworker is a weird guy, so I am taking any of his claims with a grain of salt. I am glad to hear my initial impressions are correct. ITS seems like a great fit for us, and we'll keep our fingers crossed that we will get a match soon.

Which is EXACTLY why we are leaving our neighborhood DCPS. Their hands are tied and they will never have the freedom to untie them.

ITS parent here. We are profoundly grateful that our child has the opportunity to learn in this kind of environment. The school is new but is so far doing very well and is getting international recognition for following a good model. I'm glad that other schools offer this experience too.
