Let me address some facts.
I never drive drunk. when I have this feeling of "sleepy/possibly impaired" I make other arrangements.
I'm asking because it seems like sometimes when I in the house for the night, I'll have one glass of wine and feel really loopy. I know that I'm unfit to drive. Other times such as out with friends, I will have 2 glasses and not feel much different.
What I was asking was, does anyone else have anyway of telling if you're actually impaired or just tired but still fit to drive yourself. The reason I ask is because sometimes I will metro or uber home and wonder if I'm drunk at all or just nervous that I'm drunk.
You are getting impaired after one drink. Just because it is combined with lack of sleep or something else, does not make it more or less safe. You seem to be focused on getting arrested versus safety. A breathalyzer is the only way to know if you will be arrested. For safety, do not drink and drive. Or limit to one drink every couple of hours. Just because some times you fell it less, does not make you less impaired.

Better yet do not drink at all.

Other times I know that the relaxation from the wine is mixing with my already tired body and making me feel more impaired than I am. I want to be able to feel confident that if I am pulled over, I'm not over the limit. I am going to look into getting a little breathalyzer for the car so that I can check, but do you have any ways of telling when you are creeping up to the limit?
If that's what you're most worried about then you need to get your priorities straightened out. Be more worried about hurting someone when your "already tired body" gets extra relaxed with a few drinks and swerves into someone else's car. Jeez.

So if you're out to dinner with your kids and you and your spouse are both drinking, I'm that person at the table next to you glaring and hardcore judging you, you idiot.
