lol @ his "courage"!

It took a lot of courage for him to do this. He knew he was going to get slammed by all the crazies, plus so-called corporate interests. It took less than a week for the gov of Indiana to back down on a similar issue. Yes, Gov of NC was very courageous to walk into this snake pit.

Religious practices need to be prptected as well, especially for sole proprietorships and small family businesses.

But what does religion have to do with business? Religion is a private thing you can do in your own home. No place in the business world.

Sole.proprietorships and small family businesses are individuals and should be allowed to practice their faith as they see fit, including in their business dealings, without government interference.

This is our first amendment right as Americans. First amendment trumps everything

There were people whose religion said that the races should not mix and therefore they did not have to serve black people. Their first amendment rights did not trump that.

And those who are 'in between' gender can have a separate unisex bathroom to choose from. Multi stall bathrooms should still be labeled by gender.

I'm going to Asheville soon for the first time and can't wait. I'm excited to spend money at the independent businesses in the state. And I'll buy weed.

Well, the Democrats held a tight fist over NC for over a century and did absolutely nothing about it. Why is it a "huge step backwards" now?

No. Frankly, I don't see what all the fuss is about. For a long time, I've wondered if the LGB get weighted down with all the T baggage. I wouldn't want some male tranny coming in to use the women's room when I'm there and especially not when my daughter is there. Frankly, this is why the Democrats are losing so much of middle America. They seem to care more about Hollywood and Easter liberal elite values (which apparently include transvestite 'rights') rather than the issues that matter to most people.

I agree. I feel bad for some of the more progressive parts, like Chapel Hil, Raleigh, etc. is going to hurt them for sure.

Unless your business is as a mohel, exorcist, or spiritual advisor, your religious practice has no business in a pubic business
And this law did more than just keep TGs out of the bathroom; it codified discrimination for LGBT+ at every level. Way to go NC>

Yes, this is the problem and a major step backward for the state and the country. Not to mention an embarrassment. If your child was gay or transgender, how would you feel?

Oh, please. It is not an "embarrassment." And even if it were, is that really your concern?

If my child were gay or transgender, I would have a lot more serious issues to worry about, I assure you. Trying to force the rest of the world to accept this disorder, rather than to deal with the root case of it, would not be one of them.
