Ex wife cheated on me after 10 yrs of marriage, we had a young child. I wanted to work it out because of our kid, but she wanted to keep seeing him. I left. My wife had a lengthy emotional affair with a co worker. She immediately blamed me and said I was controlling and emotionally abusive. I'm quite confident I am neither. We are still working it out. On some level I pity her because she's so pathetically in love with this total loser. But she can't seem to shake it. We have two young children so I'm playing it out and being strong. I'm working to keep stability for the kids while she goes through what is clearly a crazy mid life crisis.

Husband's ex cheated on him. He tried to stay in the marriage for the kids sake but she continued to cheat. She eventually left and took the kids. She got alimony and child support and refused to let him see the kids despite court order after court order (only consequences for not paying child support, none for refusing visitation). He always treated her well for the kids sake. All the kids are pretty messed up in their own ways, all adults now. She is still with the boyfriend who she or he will not marry but relies on him financially (her only income is alimony from my husband - married 10 years but got life long till one of them dies). She's extremely unhappy but unable to work so she's basically stuck with him as she cannot afford to live on her own.

He's a great husband and father.
