You have zero idea what you're talking about.
Anyone who believes Trump (or anyone else) is really going to eliminate agencies is a fool. The IRS, for example, employs 95,000 people across the country. The vast majority of government spending finds its way into the pockets of Americans either directly or indirectly and every dime the government spends has a constituency.
You give them too much credit. If they actually had the sense to not shut down or otherwise gut agencies then they should also have the sense to not be throwing it out there as a false campaign promise.

"Podunk towns" do not exactly have jobs for people with multiple degrees. If 10 Feds descended on a town requiring one multiple degrees person for a job per year, how long would it take the Feds to be employed?

But this probably falls in the same category as those who say they will leave the country if Trump is elected president. When push comes to shove, they will stay ........... and so will these federal employees!
Trump will treat Fed employees the way he treats the "no show" workers baked into New York construction projects by unions. The no show workers are paid but obviously do not work. People in NY know how to get things done with the no shows. No different in how the Feds now operate.

If he tried just abolishing agencies outright- or for that matter even just cut them massively, the lawsuits against him would be swift, bloody and monumental, and quite likely those agencies would come back even stronger than they were before.
