People have different preferences when it comes to looks. Yeah they are men out there that only date women of a certain size, ethnic group, whatever, but that doesn't mean you can't find someone that will accept you for who you are. Try meeting people through your hobbies/interests. You might have a better chance of meeting someone through that avenue that you could develop a deeper bond with or is willing to look at more than physical appearances.

Average is totally fine with me. Meaning average to a little chubby is still sexy. It's how you carry it and whether you are comfortable getting naked.

It is telling that people clearly understand that being overweight is unattractive, yet they don't care enough about the marriage to actually put in the effort. Suddenly divorced, they put forth the effort. I honesty think this is why so many marriages fail. People just stop putting in the effor with their spouse.

Of course healthy weight alone does not guarantee health, but being overweight absolutely jeopardizes your health. And there is a reason people are attracted to fit people. It's in our DNA to want to mate with someone who has a survival advantage.

Taking good care of yourself makes you feel better about yourself and you are generally more confident. Confidence and self love make you more attractive to others. It's that easy.

It is telling that people get divorced and then try to lose weight. Don't lose the weight just to find a partner. Lose weight for yourself.

I think it's worth it to get yourself to a place where you feel healthy and good about yourself. It is not about trying to look like a supermodel, but becoming your best self - interesting, healthy, a little fashion forward. Someone with confidence that you would want to date.

Online, people can be very cruel and judgmental about looks. (I feel like I look great, but I'm not doing online dating based on the experiences of some friends - would rather meet people out in the world.) If your looks are average and you are heavy, you are probably best off meeting people in person where they can get to know you.


I see this All.The.Time. Overweight spouses who get divorced then suddenly loose the weight because they need to find dates, and nobody wants to date a fatty. Well guess what? Nobody wants to be married to a fatty either!! So attention to all married fatties: show some respect to spouse and self, lose those extra pounds and save the divorce.
