+1 to menstrual cup after kids. It's so much easier, less irritating, and there are no leaks!

They seem the same to me. I have only had one kid, though.

After having kids, you cervix probably sit lower. So, when you put a tampon in the same exact place, instead of your cervix being above it (where the tampon can absorb the blood), your cervix is now next to and/or below the tampon (missing most of the blood).

I found the diva cup much easier to use after having kids.

Um, with your finger. (Your finger has the added bonus of being 100% biodegradable).

i liked the Tampax Pearl ones, but even with those I needed a backup pad and/or even two tampons together. I know-- incredible but there it is. Fortunately I went through menopause this year and haven't had to deal with tampons in 11 months. Yay!

I had problems using tampax after I got an IUD. It was like they were always being pushed out. Sorry if that is TMI. I switched to playtex and had no issues.

I'm a big OB fan.

I had an episiotomy- I don't know if it was that or childbirth on general - but same - my tampons didn't absorb well and leaked. After some trial and error the OB ones seem to work. And recently realized the super ones work best for the first day or two. I previously did not need the extra absorbent type.

Try the Diva Cup (or something similar). You will never go back.

They need to make the pearl ones with a cardboard applicator. Given up on regular tampax.
