You said that you can't blame the masked neo-Nazis for beating children. If you can't blame them, that means you think their actions are justified. It is really difficult to make a convincing argument that you oppose something while simultaneously claiming that it is justified and providing justifications for it.

I said I can't blame the people for uprising, given the government is proving they are unwilling to handle the realities of the dangers to the Swedish public. i did not say I agree with their methods. What do you expect? The Swedish public to just accept their fate?
When one of these 'children' on the metro meets his match - and then some - it will be liberals like yourself who defend the attacker, not the attacked.

Hundreds of masked men marched through Stockholm's main train station on Friday evening, reportedly beating up refugees and anyone who didn't appear to be ethnically Swedish.
Wearing all-black balaclavas and armbands, the men "gathered with the purpose of attacking refugee children," Stockholm police spokesperson Towe Hagg said.
...
After the attack, the Swedish Resistance Movement, a neo-Nazi group, released a statement claiming the attack had "cleaned up criminal immigrants from North Africa that are housed in the area around the Central Station".
So, this is what it has come to. Islamophobes are supporting neo-Nazis who beat up Muslim children.
You are jumping to conclusions. Not surprising. My point is the people in Sweden feel lied to, helpless and like sitting ducks, and therefore people are taking matters into their own hands. This is NOT good. Liberal governments created this problem and are now not supporting their own citizens. The net results are backlash attacks. What did y'all expect? Kumbaya moments? Conservatives have been saying that this would occur. It now is starting. I'd advise you liberals to get your heads out of your butts and recognize what you are creating. It won't end well
You explicitly said that you couldn't blame the masked neo-Nazis who are beating Muslim children. I might have jumped to a conclusion, but I jumped to the correct one. It is amazing how right-wingers are never responsible for their actions. They take over a federal wildlife refuge -- it's the government's fault. Another group beats children -- it's the liberals fault. Can you give me one of your speeches about personal responsibility? I need a good laugh.
What happened to your interest in exploring the root causes that motivate the perpetrators of beat downs administered to innocent people, Mr. Steele? That was an important issue last week.
Exploring is one thing, providing justifications is quite different. This is a great thread to illustrate the difference. I -- like everyone else -- think the Metro beatdowns are wrong. I -- like everyone else -- think that those who commit beatdowns should be punished. Where I differ with some posters is that I think a long term solution involves addressing root causes whereas others think long prison terms are the answer. In this case, the OP is not simply interested in the motivations of the attackers -- she actually agrees with them. I was constantly accused of "blaming the victim" even though that was not the case. This poster is explicitly blaming the victims.

Quite obviously, "what then" is that you will support neo-Nazis as you demonstrate in this thread. If Swedes have an issue with their government, they should protest against their government, not against innocent children. One characteristic of racism is the idea of collective punishment. One immigrant child -- who you claim is not even a child -- committed a crime so therefore all immigrant children are guilty. Again, your religious tradition which you frequently mention has a bad history with collective punishment. You should never put yourself in a position of apologizing for Nazis.
You can try all you want to make this about me. It isn't.
If there are little children on the streets, the Swedish government would simply pick them up. Since these 'children' were offered help and refused, and the Swedish government did nothing, it stands to reason these 'children' are much like the 'children' in San Fran's Haight area - not kids at all and old enough to be causing all sorts of issues a liberal government will put up with, but the people get sick of. A 15 year old is not a child. I do not consider my 14 year old a child - he is held to higher standards then a child, and he knows that stabbing someone to death is morally wrong. He knows raping women is wrong. He knows attacking women is wrong. If he committed any of these crimes, I would expect the law to treat him accordingly.
The Swedes have reached out to their government and nothing has happened. As have the Germans. It has fallen on deaf ears. Socialistic governments tend to be like that - all talk, little action, and that's why the rise of fascism is occurring. If you think people are simply going to protest being attacked over and over again with no results, you underestimate free will and the desire to not be made a victim.
