Don't be. She's academically gifted and her school has recommended that she skips to the 2nd grade but I declined.

Cool story, but what does it have to do with her terrible taste in TV?

Unless you've watched these shows enough to have such a strong opinion, how would you know?


Why would you assume I hadn't? I have a 5th grader as well as a 1st grader. You have an attitude issue.

Odd Squad
Just discovered Tin Tin
Wild Kratz
Lots of the PBS shows
He loved the old 80s Transformers (when they were on netflix)

He also watches w/ his little sister: Octonauts, Julius Jr., Daniel Tiger. (but like PP he would never admit that to his friends!)

Not current TV, but...

My Kindergartner is loving the classic anime of Heidi (on DVD). Very sweet and unpretentious.

Last summer, she went to see Jurassic World in 3D with her older brother. Loved it. Has watched Narnia, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter movies, with older brother.

DS ends up watching his sisters shows- Thundermans, Jesse plus american ninja football sports. I caught them watching teen titans, I have them turn it off, creepy.

My 7yo DD has outgrown cartoons like Wild Kratts and Curious George.

DD likes similar shows mentioned above by PP plus Master Chef Jr. and Dog with a Blog.

They are all shows about teenagers. Why is a 1st grader interested in that?

My son liked iCarly and shaytards when he was younger. I watched it with him. Very sweet memories now, even if I didn't fully enjoy watching it with him at the time.
