We live in the Midwest; my parents are in the DC area, and DH's parents are in NY. Our siblings are in NY, PA, and CA.
My parents visit us more than we visit them, because they have more flexible schedules (retired) and can more easily afford the travel.
MIL has health issues that keep her close to home, so if we want to see the ILs, we have to go to them. We also travel to visit DH's extended family--grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins--because they all live within three hours of each other in California, so it's like one-stop shopping.

It would be a logistical nightmare to arrange individual visits for them to come to us.
We wish that our siblings would come visit us, but unfortunately none of them can really get it together to do so.
