This is exactly what will happen to Hillary.

I watched this clip and had two reactions:

Cruz was very effective in his questioning and did so calmly and methodically. I am not a Cruz supporter but he is articulate and a formidable debater.

The president of the Sierra Club who he was questioning was pathetic and abysmally ignorant about anything to do with climate change. He made for a sorry figure and how he is in that position is astonishing.

I don't know how well Cruz would have done with someone who was a more effective spokesperson than the ignoramus who was representing the Sierra Club.

Sorry, but a party that creates a national healthcare system, and embraces Socialists like Sanders and Warren is not centrist. You have absolutely no idea what conservatism is. When Liberals think about conservatives, they think Bush. That's wrong. Ron Paul's foreign policy was the policy of the Old Right. If you want to learn more about real conservatism, look into these people
Pat Buchanan
Robert A. Taft
Ron Paul
Paul Gottfried
Hamilton Fish III
Ronald Reagan

If the GOP adopted this platform, they'd be a much stronger party. You can keep deluding yourself, but here's the deal. The GOP nominee will either be Trump or Cruz.

He didn't lose because of the establishment. He lost because his views on foreign policy were out of step with conservatives. It positively freaked them out.

This whole "establishment" vs. "outsider" thing is just the latest rationale for two specific candidates. The real reason they are there is because the GOP is fractured and in a race with over a dozen candidate, some outliers are bound to be in it.

and btw the DEMOCRATIC (say it correctly please) Party is a centrist party. That is why they are beating you in the general election. It has been a centrist party since Mondale lost and they moved toward the middle.

You don't understand what I'm saying. The Benghazi hearing has NOTHING to do with it. They won't be debating Benghazi. They'll be debating things like the economy, taxes, and foreign policy. Cruz has much stronger policies than Hillary. All she wants to do is tax the rich to death. Sorry, but that's nor how it works.

If Ron Paul? Sure. I guess if we assume he is popular enough to win over republicans we might as well assume he wins the whole thing. But point of fact: he wasn't popular enough with republicans.

Please. The difference between a committee hearing and a debate is that in a debate, Clinton has equal standing. In a committee hearing, the Chair controls the debate. If she can handle him, she can handle someone from the debate team.

That's what conservatives said about Tre Gowdy. Litigator, etc. She made him look like a fool. She has dealt with "masterful speakers" for 25 years.

I'm not a Hillary supporter but that's absolutely right. After 11 hours of his supposedly "masterful prosecutorial skills" Trey Gowdy emerged as an embarrassment to the country. Gowdy was like the piece of lint that Hillary famously brushed off of her lapel during the proceedings.

Well the latest poll has Cruz beating Hillary 48 to 46. Hillary is not really likable either. If she continues to use old Liberal rhetoric like "the war on women", she will lose in a landslide. You guys are funny. So Cruz is arrogant but Hillary isn't? You guysare in for a very rude awakening. A Cruz/Lee ticket would crush Hillary and whoever she picks.

Ugh. I can't stand hearing Cruz speak. It's not just his nasally voice, he comes across as arrogant, condescending and self-righteous even as he spouts one blatant lie after another. He's the kind of guy who would make Goebbels proud, by repeating the same lies over and over and over ad nauseam until everyone knows them by rote. Every last one of his Senate colleagues can't stand the guy.

I think we all need to revisit the Kennedy-Nixon debates to understand how charisma and looks can win you a spot as president.

Cruz's charisma is bland, whiny, and obnoxious and his looks are like mashed potatoes poured into a suit.
