This is exactly how people end up in sexless marriages.

I'm female, and I still don't get this. If you are not interested in the carnal side of things, why date at all? Get out with friends who don't mind keeping it completely platonic.

Yes, I would. Most people do this also.

As for skin disease, I slept with a lot of women in my 20s', and never once got a skin disease.. and I wasn't that careful either. It's just not that common.


If not the big H then you probably got chlamydia or gonorrhea since you weren't 'that careful'. Yes it is actually common. DC has the highest number at number 5 of STD occurences.

I think you should get in touch, maybe wish him a merry Christmas and tell him you wanna see him again soon (if in fact you do). He might just need a little push. But if he blows you off or doesn't ask you out again after that, then that's that.

You can text him. Plenty of women do and it works out for them.
But I don't know why you would here. IT seems as though he is interested in having sex right now, and you need more time.
Doesn't make either of you bad people, just means you want different things.
This guy isn't the only guy out there. He really isn't.
What do you think will be gained or different about going out again? You'll still be in the same place with one of you wanting a sexual relationship now and the other wanting to wait.

This. Also, how interested in him are you really, OP? Or is this need to contact him more about being "rejected"?

I would pursue other dates with other men, and if this guy comes back into the picture great. If not also great.
