Duh. But that doesn't mean he's compelling to watch as entertainment. I made no comment about his guilt.

He did have a criminal record prior to the false rape allegation. Mostly petty stuff, I think.

I saw an article in People (I know!) where the prosecutor says that the filmmaker left out some key evidence against Steven. Namely that he had specially requested that Halbach be the one to come photograph the car and that when she didn't want to because of a past bad experience she had with him, he had another family member lure her out there.

The evidence of Avery's blood from his first arrest....tampered with....and the needle hole in the top! That right there convinced me he was framed. Unbelievable! What possible explanation could they have?

Bas I was watching the first episode, before I read up on things, I noted that the brother immediately assumed and was talking about in one of his interviews that she was already dead...this was very early on and I thought that was really strange to immediately assume she as dead.


Yes, the brother creeped me out. He acted like he knew she was dead. He seemed a little Dexter to me.

Did they ever establish who accessed the voicemail and potentially deleted some messages?

What happened with the federal case for Brandon?

I'm not 100% convinced Steven is innocent (jail may have f'ed him up), but the state's case makes no sense. And why would he burn her body there and stash the car there? Why do this right at that time in his life? I'm guessing it was another family member/friend.

Do people not take polygraphs anymore? Back about 20 years ago, I was best friends with a polygrapher's wife. He insisted back then, when given by the best and most experienced polygraphers, the tests were infallible. Is this not the case anymore?

Enraging and infuriating are very good ways of describing this..all of it...including Avey's initial cooperation with the media and police...

Please, consider this a PSA- if a missing persons car is ever found on your property don't let the police search the property and for Gods sake, DON'T TALK TO THE PRESS!

I think you'll like it. I loved Serial and it kind of has a similar vibe. Worth checking out; stick with it through at least the first two episodes.

I didn't see the Jinx but I loved Serial. I think you will like this because the filmmakers spend a lot of time thoroughly going over the evidence - which is what Sarah Koenig did in Serial. When it's announced that Steven Avery is being charged with the murder of a woman whose car and remains are found on his property, I figured, oh well, I guess he did it. And then his nephew tells a grisly story of how he assisted Steven - it seems as if there can be no doubt now. And then the defense attorneys and the filmmakers start to carefully review the evidence - whoah.

Yes, I seriously want to understand what was going on with that lawyer, he seemed to be working AGAINST Brendan as opposed to for him.
