Battlestar, which I adored, is about the only show with a worse ending than Breaking Bad. Among high profile shows, only the truly odious Lost is worse.

Best I’d vote The Wire, but it was an easy one given the setting and theme of the show. I’m on the fence about The Sopranos.

I’d love a thread analyzing this one. I think one of the biggest problems they had was that they knocked it out of the park with casting the mother. Cristin Milioti was amazing for the role. She came across as such a real person, which was refreshing after watching Ted spend so much time chasing pretty faces. When they set out to create the series, and they had the secret “hook” filmed about him and Robin at the end, I don’t think they anticipated that they’d give us a person as “the mother” that we’d love so much. Plus it became incredibly rushed in the end. They had another season in them. They tried to pack too much in the last one.

They've already been said, but I'll concur that #1 has to be Six Feet Under. #2 has to be Friday Night Lights.

There are other great ones, but these two are way out in front of anything else.

I liked the Mad Men finale; I know a lot of people hated it but I thought it ended the series nicely.

although Joshua Jackson has gone on to really great roles post-Pacey. But he isn't Oscar nominated.

Sadly, I think Katie peaked on this show. Playing Joey is the extent of her acting ability.
