This isn't "the city" or "city life". Cross the street and you're in Maryland. This is the kushy barely burbs of Maryland/DC border. You're in Chevy Chase for Christ sake.
Whatever. Criminals go where the money is, correct? This isn't a new crime wave is what people are saying. There has ALWAYS been crime in Upper NW DC. ALWAYS. So why now are you getting so worked up?

There are constantly robberies outside of the Friendship Heights metro station and around the stores in that area. What are you talking about?

The neighborhood list serv said there was also a robbery at 47th an Butterworth. I was out walking my dog when these happened (I live 1 block away) and I have to say this is scary to me.
