We're childfree and got judgement for a long time. Some people can't fathom decisions other than their own. If y'all are happy that's all that matters! Big families are really great imo.

I'm assuming low class, uneducated, and formula feeding but I'd never say anything of course. The only exception I know from college was old big money and they shipped the kids to Deerfield for boarding as soon as possible.

Op - you make it sound like it is out-of-your-control that you have 4. This is disturbing. It's not that they won't love your children. They probably feel that they should say something to encourage you to think and own your decisions - it just happened, oh well. And before you blink and have 5, 6 or 7 children
