But based on what I know 1) CMI is preferred by some due to very small class sizes (CMI offers Chinese and Spanish and ITS has Spanish exposure), 2) ITS did not have that many siblings this year and 3) location of CMI is 10 minutes closer for many NW families.

I am guessing because people want their kids to have some sort of language background? Should point out here that CMI just offers exposure in Spanish and Mandarin. DCB offers true bilingual Ed.

We had what looked like good numbers at several hrcs for the upper grades... And saw almost no movement on the lists and got in nowhere.

The higher up on the waitlist you are - the less you move.

This is surprising to me. I think we moved maybe 4 spots on any of our wait lists, and only got accepted at our in bounds school!
