Yes I would. One of my kid's teacher's pulled her kids for Disney. One week away doesn't eradicate years of support for the importance of education.

I would for k - 2. Not once in third. I would possibly consider for k - 6 during a week where only 3 days are missed due to two teacher work days or holidays, depending on a discussion with the teacher.
We generally miss the Friday before spring break most years, using it as a travel day.

That is your own value judgement. Days missed are days missed. Either you think it's ok or not.

I am the teacher who posted. I see it as quality family time. A week can easily be made up in an early grade, imo. You can make Disney educational, too ; writing postcards to the class, researching Walt Disney for a book report, daily journal, etc.

We go to Disney for a week every January. Our county (Loudoun) is closed SO many days in January for "snow" that I dare them to say something to me. In 3 years they never have, and the make up work (what little there is) is waiting when we get back.
If your kids are not struggling in school, I don't see the issue at all.
