I think this poster is making the point that the children may not have Muslim heritage, as evidenced by the fact that they were allowed to be adopted away from their birth family. Not that Muslims they meet would be offended by the adoption.

I doubt any Muslims would be "offended" by adoption. They'd just find it very curious since it's not part of the religion/culture. At least not in the way we see adoption.

Muslims here for the most part are just like very other american, they are not unfamiliar with what adoption is and what it means. Noone is going to find out they are adopted and run home to call their embassy and warn them of the 'madness'. OP is not saying she wants to take them back to their home country to learn, where something like that MIGHT be an issue.
