Your chances of someone in your home being hurt by your husband's gun are far, far higher than the chance your house would ever be burgled or you'd be hurt in a home invasion.

(For the record, we lock our doors at night, but rarely lock them otherwise if we are home, and certainly not if we are just in the yard. Your DH's paranoia is unhealthy and it's going to hurt your kids. The world is not that unsafe. But he is.)


I agree with this. Most home security stuff is a scam / waste of money that exploits your fear. The biggest dangers are those we face every day and not the boogie man hiding in the shadows.
