And seconding what someone else said: this is not a good vet.

Your dog will be fine. This is about a ten minute procedure. Your dog will be groggy for a day or so afterwards, then back to her old self - minus some health risks. You're getting nervous over something that is really a routine procedure.

But how did you make sure that there was no pregnancy risk, since you have a male and female dog and neither is fixed?

also-we don't take him to dog parks no more than I let my children when young play with strange adults. I know of dogs thrown out of daycare and petsmart [takes alot] happily mixing it up at dog parks.

Oh please. I'm looking at 95 pounds of male Lab as I type. Neutering took an edge off and maybe humps every 2 months. NOTHING LIKE BEFORE NEUTERING. Marking decreased.
