This is my cousin. 37 year old with a good education and doesn't want to keep a job for more than 3 months. He usually quits because he wants to go on vacation and never returns. His parents have money and bail him out including paying $14000 that he put on his card for said vacation. I think they set up a trust or something for him where he will get a stipend every month once they are gone. They just gave up that he will become an adult.

I agree. Stay out of it.

My sister is in a similar situation although it's more about failure to launch than poor financial choices. My parents have created a monster through enabling and then complaining about it. I try to stay neutral be a use its not my problem

I am shocked/impressed to hear about how these siblings make it to their 40s/50s. My f-ed up sibling is in his 20s now and I just see his story ending with him becoming homeless, incarcerated or dead. He uses scams everyone for a nickel, buys drugs and iPhones, can't keep a job for more than a month, can't save a penny - and the only person who still cares for him is my mother. Despite supporting him by letting him live with her and giving him spending money - he is constantly scaring her or abusing her for more. I feel for you OP - we are in a similar boat watching a sinking ship and it is painful.
