If through some miracle they could get a hot 22 year old, do you think they'd say "nah I don't want that I want someone with experience and maturity"? If they do... they're lying.
40 year old man here. I would not choose a 22 year old over a 30 something year old. Definitely not as someone to have a relationship with, and yes, I could find a 22 year old to date if I wanted that. It doesn't mean I don't find a 22 year old girl attractive, of course I do. It means there is far more to a woman in and out of the bedroom than age.
I'm the 50 year old above. Frankly, I have less sex now than I did when I was in my 20's. While I am definitely attracted to 20-somethings, I'm not at all interested in a 20-something as a partner. I want someone who has a closer life experience as I do and who has closer goals and ambitions as I have. My own goals and ambitions were very different 20 years ago. But I've BTDT for many of the goals I had when younger and I'm on to other things. I want a partner with the same outlook on life. I want someone who has also BTDT with some of those goals.

I am 25 and I take ZERO offense to what most of the women on this thread are saying.
No one is saying young women are brainless- however maturity and wisdom is something that comes with age/life experience.

Everyone, male or female, is most attractive in their early 20s.
Women are just more realistic- however, they do say that the upper limit (which the OP conveniently took out of the article he posted) for women's age preferences with men is about 40. Once it reaches 40, no matter how much a woman ages, she wants that age.

That went over your head. It's difficult to find a lot of things in common with someone 20+ years younger that you. When I talk to younger men, all I can think about is how they sound like teenagers. They don't understand what it's like to have a career, mortgage, aging parents or nearly grown children. My guy is my best friend. We wouldn't be able to connect on an emotional level without some common experiences.
