Yes, and so? One Millennial does that, therefore all of the other 79,999,999 Millennials must do it too?

I also have 2 millennials in my family whose parent's pay everything for them as well.

DAMN! That makes 3 whole people? Hold the phone- this is a phenomenon!

I'd also divide the millennials up into "cool rich millennials living in fashionable apartments" and "poor milliennials who can barely pay their student loans."

I think 81-82 is the oldest for millenials, so 27-30 are definitely millenials

Hipsters are a category of people based on lifestyle and aesthetic, not age. Kind of like how not everyone in the 70s was a hippie.

Sigh....I am of the non-generation...very tail end of 1963, but definitely before the GenX'ers.

I would argue there is a different category: 1960's babies...too young for boomers too old for gen X. I remember the 60's -- late 60's, but never partook of it. Our parents were mostly born during the depression -- a small cohort.

Millennials are pioneers of reenactment music.
Reenactment music is basically reenacting what bands/artists from previous generations have already done.

Similar to a civil war reenactments but millennials are reenacting music instead of wars.

My dad used to tell me that "my generation had no music, we just copied his generation's rock and roll". It pissed me off. Every generation has the right to their own music, come on! He was born in 46 so a Boomer, I'm born in 69 so a Gen X, my kids are born in 90 and 93 and I think they're Millenials, not Hipsters.

To the millennials? Because nobody ever thought the GenXers were cool. Not even the GenXers. Not even in Singles (1992). Too young for Woodstock, too old for -- well, whatever the defining event/thing is for the Millennials. Nobody cares.

x2..

I remember even growing up there were ads trying to boost gen x's self esteem cause they had a reputation for being losers.

I believe the motto was "generation x? More like generation excellent"

Seriously? I think we Gen Xers were a hell of a lot cooler than the Millennials. Nirvana? Come on. That was groundbreaking, and pretty much everything was informed by Grunge. Everything that the Millennials are into is just so wack. I am shocked by their bad taste.

Yes. Grunge of the 90s was way cooler than Bieber and the boy band generation.

It became so sissy and metrosexual after grunge.
