I always think this is a bit strange. I considered a similar issue with my daughter's name and decided it wouldn't matter eventually. The kids in her age bracket aren't going to know these people - only the adults.
As for Gweneth, I prefer her momma's name

But would the negative connation be a deal breaker? Cain killed his brother in the Bible. I know people named Adolf and I can't help it; it makes me think of Hitler.
Rully? You know "people" named Adolf? As in more than one Adolf?

I didn't say they weren't...someone argued it wasn't a Christian bible story.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but those of the Jewish faith only learn the Old Testament, right?
1. The story of Cain and Abel is in what Christians consider the Old Testament.
2. Jews don't have an "Old Testament".

Also, not everyone is Christian. I wouldn't have made that connection because I don't know the bible stories.

Cain and Abel is not a Christian bible story.
Say wha? The whole bible is Christian. Old AND New Testament. It's an Old Testament story, but yes, it is one that Christians are taught.
Jews are taught it as well.
