How absurd. Not everyone has a work schedule so easily modified.

So moving a wedding to accommodate one person, is expected, change of work plans, not expected? Gotcha.

OP. This is not about you. maybe she is angry because you are trying to make it about you. Why do you think she should care about your plans?

I must have explained myself poorly.

I don't care if someone schedules a wedding and it so happens I can't attend. I do care if someone schedules a wedding and implies they scheduled it so that I couldn't attend. See the difference?

She did that AFTER you sent an accusatory email to her. She could've let it go, but instead over-reacted. But you started it.

You are over-reacting and being very self-centered OP. You sent her a passive aggressive email and she didn't take it well. Get over it. Move on and make amends if this friendship matters to you.

What are you talking about? She's the one who said she scheduled her wedding so I could not attend.

If this were truly a good friend of mine, and I received the email you received and really couldn't figure out if she were joking or not, I would respond with something like, "Wait, what?" And see what she says.

I absolutely can't, though, especially with kind of short notice.

Perhaps her families schedule and her schedule were more important. This is not about you. Self absorbed much?

Bridezilla much? Or just illiterate?

She's a bridzilla because she chose a wedding date that didn't accomodate one friend?? What!!

Maybe she's turning a corner. People tend to re-evaluate friendships during transition periods and major life events.

Send her a smiley face and wait for her to be in touch with you later, then pretend none of this went down. You're reading too much into this. She's busy and not thinking about you at this time (which is fine).

The only sane advice.

+1 Because you joked with her, she probably thought you had lightened up. "This is awkward" is totally a joke!
