There's no such thing as a free lunch, if you marry a rich man and stay and home, there will be expectations to keep the house running great, keep yourself thin and beautiful and everything related to kids is kept perfect. No rich man is going to let you stay at home and be a slob, that's just not how life works. Enjoy what you have, a good companionship is priceless.

This did not occur to you before you got married?
I never sought a wealthy man but I definitely did not date men who were underemployed. I only dated professional men who could support a family. Plus I find educated, successful, responsible men much more attractive.
This. I fessed up about wanting to SAH on about the 3rd date.
My husband told me he wanted this by date3

Amazing...$450k is not rich, huh?
The skewed reality on this board never ceases to amaze me. $450K might not be private-island rich, but it's literally the top one percent.
In NW DC + private schools with more than 1 kid, that's just getting by or average/below average in those circles.
This isn't Manhattan. You can live in much more affordable neighborhoods and have a lovely home, good schools, and short commute. Excuse you blow your money on a trophy zip code and brand name private doesn't negate the fact you are rich.

TRUTH!
If your husband makes $450K and you aren't rich you are doing something seriously wrong.
