Nominating HRC will make the odds of a Republican winning the presidency an almost foregone conclusion. I say this not with glee but in sadness because the country would be better off with a Democrat as president.

NP here and yeah, I'm a bit concerned too. Will vote for whichever Dem gets the nominee, would not vote for any of those Republican clowns in a thousand years, but Hillary carries baggage. Regardless of whether or not she did anything wrong with the whole email thing, it is distracting and keeps her from getting her message out. Who know what other dirt will be found in the next year. Not to mention that there are a lot of people in this country that take into account personality more than issues- Bill was a charismatic guy. So was Bush. I know someone who didn't vote for Al Gore because he was "boring" or Kerry because he "seemed fake", and yet when pressed on the issues, definitely leans more Dem. Not everyone necessarily recognizes what's at stake.

What is fundamental for me as a liberal is that any candidate who I vote for should be trustworthy, honest and has certain core convictions. I don't believe that HRC has any of these characteristics. This is the reason why I will not vote for her.

So you will vote for the Republican nominee?! That does not begin to make sense! Even if you think of HRC as being the lesser of two evils - we all saw what happened in 2000 when the greater of two evils won the White House!

I'll admit to it, being part of the vote siphoned off by Nader. It was my first election, and I was a young idealist. Now I'm a 36-year old idealist but understand enough to vote on issues and not the candidate.

This weekend I told my nephew (19) and his g/f about the time my voting bloc helped elect W Bush.

Not the PP you addressed but when you have Democrats who are not willing to vote for a Democratic nominee, perhaps the problem is with the nominee and not the voter.
