Subject: Splitting capsules into smaller doses?
Be so careful!
My DH and I both took Tessalon capsules for bad coughs. It said right on the bottle that crushing or chewing could be fatal - it messes with the time release. I take ASHD medicine - crushing or chewing messes with that time release too. By contrast, my doctor told me it was fine to split a different medication / eye ball half a tablet when I couldn’t find the correct dose. Definitely check with a an expert!
