NP here. I'm pretty sure the bank didn't profess vows to love and support you always. Denying intimacy and attempting to force your spouse to be celibate is abusive.

Oh my god, it's actually not at all like that. Marriage is a specific relationship from which people may reasonably expect to be treated with interest and respect - some people aren't.
