In Central Park in NYC dogs are allowed off leash during cetain hours. They should do the same in this area.
I feel a great amount of joy from not having my toddler knocked down to the ground by your "friendly" dog. I also don't let my toddler jump on other people on the metro for example to lick them or to hug them. Why is your dog more important than my kid?

Your post made it clear how you feel about the people expressing frustration about unleashed dogs. Until they change the rules here, please just follow them. Do you respect the rules in Central Park during the hours when dogs are required to be leashed??? Hope so.

I don't understand all the anger towards dogs and dog owners. You all are filled with irrational fears. I wouldn't want to be:

* your boyfriend or girlfriend

No. I'm not trying to defend breaking rules. If someone minds and expresses their discomfort with my breaking rules, then I'll follow them. The smart-happy-dog PP suggests s/he won't do that.

Yes, it is. Same at Rehobeth. Some lady's dog was sniffing around me and my blanket and I told her that he dogs aren't allowed on the beach and at least she could put it on a leash. She just stared at me. Entitled assholes...
