Believe it! Five years ago, my ILs bought a condo near the beach. It's a two bedroom (and a small curtained alcove with a daybed) bath condo that's just about perfect for my family of five. Nope, ILs want my family of five, their DD, her DH and two kids and the grandparents to ALL be "under one roof." We did this once and I'll never do it again. No, eleven people in a tiny condo is unworkable.

ILs think we're uptight because we don't want to spend vacations with them at their condo. Unworkable now that we have opposite sex teens who no longer care to share a room or a bed.

I also don't understand why any family would willingly put themselves in the situation that you are in. Once I had kids, I stopped the 30 people trying to survive in one house kind of visits. This is fine for a meal but not for sleeping and bathing.

Seriously, we are too old and make too much money to deal with this kind of shit.

I have a four year old. I haven't been fully rested since I was 7 months pregnant. I expect to "catch up" on my sleep approximately 2 months after he leaves for college, I suspect.
